Santa’s Christmas Rescue
He freed the caged dog, once a loved family pet,
Last year in a home, this year deemed a threat.
Without hesitation, he called the dog’s name,
And the dog ran to him, despite fear and pain.
“Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen!
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the roof, let’s fly out of here!
There’s much work to do for those we hold dear”
And I heard him exclaim, with the dog in the lead,
“Merry Christmas to All, Regardless of Breed”
A Puppy’s Christmas
On the 11th day of Christmas,
My puppy to me:-
11 unwrapped presents,
10 cards I should have posted,
My wreath in 9 pieces,
8 tiny reindeer fragments,
7 scraps of paper
6 soggy ribbons,
5 chewed-up stockings,
4 broken candles,
3 punctured ornaments.
2 mangled puddings,
And the fairy off the Christmas tree.
On the 12th day of Christmas,
My puppy gave to me:-
A dozen puppy kisses,
And I forgot all about the other days…
Merry Christmas from the Dog
You’re the jingle in my bells,
And the tinsel on my tree,
I’m just letting you know
How much you mean to me!
You’re the nut in my cracker,
And the icing on my cake
The best friend I could
You’re the plum in my pudding,
You’re my chocolate Yuletide log,
I’m hoping for some turkey…
So Merry Christmas from the Dog!
We hope these bring a smile to you and a wagging-tail for your fur-baby. Merry Christmas!
